Freshens synthetics well. Not odorless

Hoping it would be odorless, but has somewhat of a distinct smell. Not bad, not good, but noticeable. It did freshen up by base layers really well! They feel better than before next to skin and prevents bacteria smelly odors from forming. Not an ideal product, but pretty close. If it has a true zero odor to it, then I would give it a perfect score. However, still less potent than most other detergents found in stores.

Use it for all my base layers and have no complaints.

Get the stink and sweat out

This keeps my bases stink free. And clean. That’s it. Does its job.

Best wash for work out clothes!!

I’ve used a ton of different active wear washes and this is the ONLY one that actually gets it clean and doesn’t leave any stink behind and also doesn’t add a strong fragrance to cover up the stink. I use it in all of our synthetic active wear. Underwear, leggings, sports bras, workout tops, padded cycling shorts..it’s amazing! Tips: shake the bottle before each use and if you washer has the option, add an extra rinse to the end of your cycle.

I've been using Basewash on my cycling shorts. Works great cleaning residual chamois creme from the pad.

A great all-around wash for athletic clothing

If you're like me, you spend a lot on high-quality outdoor clothing, and spend a lot of time in that clothing training. This is my go-to for washing just about everything related to training, except DWR treated items and down outerwear. This does a great job of removing the stink and keeping technical wicking clothing doing what it should.

I love to use this to wash baselayers and smelly gym clothes. My first purchase I got a small bottle, but I use it so much igot a big bottle this time.

Solid Workhorse for Active Wear and Base Layers

Got a 300mL bottle to try with an assortment of gym clothes (including Dri-FIT & UA), riding breeches and synthetic base layers. Thanks to having at least one ancestor that was a Wookie, I am a hairy, sweaty beast. As a result, this usually means that my gym & sports clothing don't smell great by the time they get home. I'm happy to report that this base wash does a stand-up job of exorcising these odors and keeping them fresh and maintaining their moisture-wicking and quick-dry properties. Once this ran dry, I picked up a 1L as this has become a staple for these garments.

This stuff is great for cleaning that seasonal base layer gear. it works as intended and directed and seems to do the trick for the years I have been washing my base layers with this wash. the only "issue" I have with all the Nikwax products is the load ratio (i.e. max 6 items per load, etc.) with an active family and lots of base layers to wash, I can go through this product quickly. you wont be dissappointed.

Good product

Works great with SmartWool products. I was the driest man on the mountains today.
