Cold-water confidence comes from the FreeFall Dry Pant
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"These dry pants are perfect for those chilly spring mornings and crisp fall sessions when the water's cold but the weather's decent. The built-in socks work great with my river boots, and the HyproTex breathes well during long portages between runs."
Cool mornings and unpredictable weather no longer dictate our paddle schedule—we slip into the NRS FreeFall Dry Pant and extend our season into those perfect shoulder months. This adaptable pant seals out chilly water while breathing during warm-ups, letting us chase early-season flows and late-fall glass-offs with equal comfort. Built-in dry socks and a tunnel waist integrate seamlessly with our dry top, while reinforced panels fend off granite scrapes so we can scout lines instead of worrying about wear.

Great! Worked well on a Middle Fork of the Salmon trip for both fishing and boating. Could not tell if there was leaking in the feet or if it was just me sweating... Comfortable.

Well made, whacky sizing.

I'm coming from the previous version of this model; which fit great. There's a lack of inseam measurements on the sizing chart. I went by height. I'm 6'1", 33" inseam, 170lbs and again a size large, which was huge everywhere, too much girth and way too much length in the leg. I was unable to use them and ending up renting an older model. With these I felt like you either wear them where dry pants should lay to roll with your top, and deal with a crotch inseam that sits way way too low and restricts leg movement. Or hike everything way up to get the crotch where it should be and the inseam becomes restrictive, they just don't fit right. Not only are they too large but the paneling and various cut measurements are just off. There's far too much extra material bunching around, no where near an athletic fit.
