Perfect.

Big enough for a rain jacket and daily essentials. Comfortable enough to carry all day long.

Well made

As expected this bag is very well made and night shift blue is a lovely colour. I was hoping it would be a replacement for my ageing Flapjill Mini although I knew it would be a bit bigger, but for me it wasn’t as good. I assume the extra size is to accommodate a laptop but the result is quite a flat, stiff bag that doesn’t sit well against the body and it could do with some more pockets - like the top pocket on the Flapjill Mini which also has its water bottle pocket tucked in behind the strap. I really wanted to like the bag but it didn’t hit the mark so I decided to return it.

Very good, needs more zips

Very good bag, I carry it in a bike pannier to work and carry around during the day. 4 stars because there's no zip pockets. Should be one in the inside flap and 2 in the inside divider.

Well constructed messenger bag with

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well constructed messenger bag with good compartments. Would rate it higher if it had the luggage handle loop, so I could slide it over the handle on my luggage.

Not as well designed as

Not as well designed as previous versions of Osprey messenger type bags. And materials/build feels of lesser quality.

Good, but missing a couple of things that would make it great

Got mine in Night Shift Blue, which is attractive (even my wife likes it) without being over-the-top. Just about the right size to use as a laptop bag (using with a 14" M4 MacBook Pro) as long as you don't need to carry many additional items. There's a vertical pocket that I think is intended for sunglasses; I've wound up commandeering that for the power cord/adapter and an HDMI cable. Otherwise, I like the amount of space the bag has - you can't carry your lunch, three paperback books and your framing hammer in it, which is a good thing in my book - I don't want or need a giant bag most days, so a bigger bag would add bulk but not value. Would be nice to have a web/mesh pocket inside the main compartment for storing power cords or the like, as the outside pocket isn't really big enough for a power cord for the laptop (and I'm using a dinky 30W charger and a 6ft cable). Only other gripe is the strap - rather than adjusting at one end where it connects to the bag, it has adjustments on either side of the shoulder pad. While this works well for setting the shoulder pad to ride in a consistent position, it's only a benefit if you always carry the bag in the same place (in front, in back, on the side) - otherwise, you'd have to adjust the straps every time you changed the bag carry position. Would also like it if the shoulder pad was a little grippier; if you don't carry the bag cross-body it doesn't like to stay on your shoulder.

Not quite big enough

It’s squeeze to get a standard laptop in and the bag could do with an externally accessed pocket on the outside flap, plus maybe another smaller Osprey style pocket for loose change etc. It’s OK but I wouldn’t buy another

Not as expected

I have owned an Osprey flap Jack courier for 10 years and hoped this would be similar, but it seemed of far lesser quality and much smaller. The old embroidered logo is now a cheap looking transfer and it lacks all the great array of compartments that made the old bag to brilliant. Ended up sticking the old bag in the washing machine to give it another lease of life.
