Downburst 26L Backpack blends waterproof trail protection with breathable suspension and bigger storage

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I use the 26L Downburst Backpack when I want a little more room for layers, camera gear, or longer hikes. The waterproofing is bomber, and the backpanel stays ventilated even on humid, rainy days. It's a dream setup for wet adventures."

More capacity means more adventure—rain or shine. The Downburst 26L Backpack builds on everything we love about the Downburst series, with just a bit more space for added layers, camera gear, or long-haul trail essentials. Its fully waterproof construction—including IPX5-rated RF-welded seams and a roll-top closure—lets us charge through downpours, misty forests, and soggy trails without sacrificing the safety of our gear.

The ventilated AirSpeed™ suspension system and breathable EVA harness help us stay cool and dry inside and out, even on high-output hikes. External gear loops, quick-access bottle sleeves, and oversized hipbelt pockets round out the setup, while sustainable materials keep our footprint light. When we need a pack that carries more without compromise, this is it.

Great bit of kit

Loving the Downburst. Plenty of storage outside the main compartment, well built and comfortable to wear with all the adjustments. It being summer, have not tested its waterproof capabilities yet though.

Great pack

I am currently using this pack to guide fly fishing trips in Alaska. It gets thrown in float planes, rafts, and boats on a daily basis. This pack is abused daily and has held up flawlessly. The pack is comfortable and keeps my gear dry. I wish I would have bought the 36L. I use a aether 60L for bigger hikes.
