Tackle alpine conditions with the Alpinite GORE-TEX Glove—ultralight warmth with waterproof tech
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I used the Alpinite GORE-TEX Gloves on a cold summit push and they were spot on—lightweight but surprisingly warm, and fully waterproof. The dexterity is solid for setting lines and working with gear, and they pack down easily in a shell pocket."
When we're heading into high, cold, and exposed terrain, we count on the Alpinite GORE-TEX Gloves to keep us warm, dry, and ready for anything. Designed with alpine conditions in mind, these gloves combine GORE-TEX waterproofing with VerticalX Eco insulation for a high warmth-to-weight ratio, making them ideal for technical climbs, ski mountaineering, or backcountry touring.
A touchscreen-compatible index and thumb let us check maps or adjust settings without removing gloves, and the goat leather palm adds durability and grip when handling tools or gear. The low-bulk cuff fits under jacket sleeves, and the pre-curved construction ensures a natural, dexterous feel. For reliable hand protection in alpine environments, the Alpinite is always in our kit.

Review Summary
Here's what customers have to say
These gloves offer mixed performance. They are praised for being warm, waterproof, and durable, suitable for various winter activities. Users also appreciate the good dexterity and touch compatibility. However, some found the gloves not warm enough in very cold conditions and had issues with the fit, particularly around the wrists and fingers. The bulky, stiff design was also criticized for compromising dexterity. The cuff design was another common point of criticism. Overall, the gloves seem suitable for milder winter conditions but may not be the best choice for extreme cold or activities requiring high dexterity.

Great gloves, warm for their weight
The touchscreen fingers actually work really well which is surprising on a leather glove. Love these gloves. These gloves have held up well to almost 2 years of use. Still my favorite backcountry skiing glove. I prefer to wear these without a liner as that would be a little tight.

Comfy, warm, but not durable. Got a hole in them within a couple of seasons :(

Nice medium weight glove
Fits well. Good dexterity for ski touring. Leather covering all the seams that wear out for me.

Trust the gloves
I live OR gloves fit and quality. They are my go-to brand, and the Alpinite gloves are no exception. Warm and dry through some cold wet days this spring. Plenty of hard pack, trees, and edges and they hold up excellent. Like my last pair, these are an investment that will make your day at least 23% better and last for years.

I got these gloves for snow camping. They worked great. I like how they are not too bulky, so I can use my fingers better than most other snow gloves.

Nice materials, but clunky construction
I feel like I have normal sized hands, and these gloves fit strangely - the thumbs seem abnormally long. Also not a fan of the velcro strap, it is big and cumbersome. My biggest gripe is that these gloves are not warm - my hands froze on a single-digit day. As they are mostly leather, it took a while to break them in and they did become more comfortable, and for spring skiing they are ok. However, for cold weather skiing I would look elsewhere.

Fit very good and long enough to cover cuff but this enough to still be stuffed inside a cuff if necessary.

Love These Gloves
I have owned them now for a few months. Used them while snow shoveling and rescuing people on stuck on the road in winter conditions. I really love the look of these gloves. They keep the hands warm and you still have some dexterity in these gloves which is great while working with tools, ropes, ratchet straps, and other equipment in cold weather. Hoping they last several years. I used them a handful of times this winter and they still look like new.
