Push the alpine limit with the Archangel GORE-TEX Bibs—stormproof performance built to move

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I wore the Archangel Bibs on a full day of ski mountaineering—crazy winds, full whiteout, and these things held up flawlessly. They’re super breathable when I’m moving hard uphill, but the GORE-TEX Pro shell still keeps everything bone dry. Best part? The stretch panels don’t restrict movement at all."

The Women's Archangel GORE-TEX Bibs are built for the most demanding alpine objectives—steep ascents, brutal weather, and constant movement. Designed for elite performance and trusted in the harshest conditions, these bibs use GORE-TEX Pro for exceptional waterproof breathability and strategically placed stretch panels to move with you, not against you. Whether you're bootpacking through sideways sleet or setting a skin track at high elevation, these bibs offer a bulletproof barrier against the elements without sacrificing agility.

An articulated fit and trim silhouette layer seamlessly under a harness, while full-length side zips offer fast ventilation and easy on-off access. A chest pocket keeps essentials close, and adjustable suspenders dial in the fit for long missions in the alpine. When failure isn’t an option, the Archangel steps up.

Dry in the snow

This bibs are great for playing in the snow and for ice fishing. The bibs didn't kept me warm during boat surveys during the winter. The bibs are great when in motion but not while just seating. I love that I can only open the back if I need to go to the bathroom without having to take everything down. Very good for keeping me dry even in splashing water and snow.

Wanted to love these bibs...

Bought them for skiing. Pros: The goretex fabric is great at repelling water, has a good chest pocket. Cons: Not at all stretchy so size up if you want more freedom of movement. The shoulder straps pop out of the clasps every time I bend over. The legs are too narrow to fit around a ski boot -- I thought these were ski bibs!! The zip doesn't close all the way to the bottom of the leg so that the snap can be closed. Trying them on at the store they seemed like they fit great, but when I actually took them skiing these design flaws made me pretty dissapointed.

Durable in harsh weather

Alaskan summa and fall 2022 had been wrought with rain and I just got real tired of making excuses for not going out. This epic rain gear is breathable, movable, and kept my dry in wind driven rain. Love the adjustable hood keeping my vision unblocked and hood secure in place even in wind. Bright color makes me easy to see!

Solid bibs with some design flaws

These bibs are solid, waterproof and move well. However, there are some design flaws that leave one wondering about the testing process. I had to size up to allow enough movement to be comfortable for both climbing & ski mountaineering. Slim fit is great for really flexible materials, but this is not that kind of material. And with the slightly larger fit, it really felt like the design was more of 'men's model' - less well adapted for womens' bodies and needs. The side zips sealed nicely, however the height of the bibs and the slight angling of the full zips towards the back made them very difficult to rezip - not least when wearing a harness and jacket(s). And likely because of the awkward angle required to zip, the zipper one one side of my bibs has a tendency to catch on the material by the zipper. This was quite frustrating as the whole idea of side zips/back flap is to allow easy & quick access for pit stops. I found that rezipping with harness/jackets was a frustrating experience. Also, the single thigh pocket was poorly designed. It is so high up by the hip crease that any non-tiny item in the pocket gets pushed up into your hip/harness when you move. Thigh pockets are really useful for climbing and ski mountaineering for easy access to items - and additionally useful for storing a phone/gps/inreach mini away from one's avy beacon. These bibs would be massively improved by having TWO true thigh pockets - i.e. on the front of the thigh.

Great bib

Great light weight for skiing down hill. Kept dry all day, lots of flexibility. The colors aren't the best choices.

Very comfy, warm, easy on easy off even with lots of other layers in the snow to pee, a little long for me but I'm short so that's not uncommon.

Arctic Worthy

Bought these for my wife, we live above the Arctic Circle in Northwest Alaska and these have become her go to piece. They are great for layering under her 8000m Marmot suit for when we are traveling on snowmachine at 0-40 below.

the fit is not great. Legs are too short, thighs are too tight and the top of the bibs are too big. If you are a taller athletic woman with thighs these won't fit properly at all. Pretty dissapointed.

Bomber pants. We've been waiting for them our whole lives

I recently bought these pants for my wife as I have the men's version already myself. They are hands down the best shell pants I have ever used and my wife has said the same about her pair. They are slim enough to not be crazy bulky but can still fit a base layer comfortably. The stretch goretex pro fabric is a gamechanger. Nothing like the heavy crunchy old pro level of the past. Well though out storage and features that have just the right mix of adaptability without sacrificing function. Bottom line....buy these pants they are the best you will find.

Works well as a shell snow pants

I have Raynaud's and live in Manitoba where we have cold winters and these snow pants are great (I use a soft shell and Marino wool layer underneath) when I am doing physical activities like walking, skating or skiing. However, if you will be standing still outside or sitting by the fire I would recommend insolated snow pants instead as these guys are shell pants.
