Here's what customers have to say
This lightweight jacket provides impressive warmth and insulation despite its compact, packable design. It functions well as a versatile mid-layer, keeping the wearer warm without feeling bulky. However, some users noted the lightweight construction can make the jacket more delicate and prone to minor damage. A few also reported issues with the zipper. Overall, the jacket is praised for its warmth-to-weight ratio and suitability for a variety of outdoor activities.

Extra Layer
I use this as an extra layers on cold days or on its own in fair weather. Light, good mobility, great for outdoor axticities.

Great static/insulating layer
Got this for use as a static layer and it’s perfect. Lightweight, packs small, and just enough features to make is convenient when around camp. Replaces my smokers jacket and waffle top and fills the role perfectly.

Niche Puffy - Sheds Fibers Constantly
It's a great puffy for what its angle is- ultralight (as can be) puffy that's synthetic. So warmer and more wind-resistant than a fleece, but still packable and good when wet. I've used mine quite a bit over the last few years, mostly as an additional layer when working in wet, cold conditions. It's great for that! I can stuff it in my bag, wear it under my shell, and it retains warmth and dries quickly when I grab lunch. I've packed it or kept it on hand for several trips when rain might come in, to sacrifice to the wet weather so that I can switch out to a dry down piece when the weather clears. It's a little clammy, but it functions well as extra warmth in the shoulder seasons, especially if you put a softshell over it. It layers fantastically, and as a lighter puffy can be worn under a heavier piece and over a light fleece. It's great for camping and backpacking, but I'd get something else for backcountry, strenuous hikes, climbing, etc. It really does have excellent warmth-to-weight characteristics for a synthetic puffy, and shines when that's a big concern. Now the bad. Its durability on the face fabric is fine, but do not let hook and loop near this thing- it will rip threads like crazy. Really all of the stitching is delicate, and after an unfortunate run in with the hook and loop on my uniform pants, I had to stitch a six inch run in one of the inside seams. For a puffy that you're wearing in wet and clammy conditions, it's a consistent level of insulation throughout. Good for static things like camping and standing in the snow, but gets sweaty when you're moving. I started swapping it out for more dynamically insulated pieces for that. It's also not the best articulated piece. The main problem, as other reviews have alluded to- it sheds. Constantly. More than even my vintage down pieces do. Long, translucent strings of polyester leaking out of every (already fragile) seam in the jacket. It looks bad and you will drive yourself mad trying to tidy them all. The big problem for me is that at least with down, the down decomposes. I get it, all synthetic fabrics shed microplastics. But it really makes me uncomfortable working in delicate watersheds wearing a jacket that is visibly dropping spiderwebs of the stuff everywhere I go. The insulation is in long, thing strands, so it looks almost like fishing line when it pokes out. Whenever I wash it or after a weekend of putting it in my locker, I have to clean up a clump of the stuff. It looks bad to clients and call me corny, but its seriously made me reconsider where and when I wear it. I've washed it to manufacturer spec with quality puffy detergents, and it just keeps shedding as the ends of the insulation get caught in the seams over time and start to poke through. After two years, I'm ready to rotate this back to just a beater wet weather layer and take a performance hit for a synthetic puffy that isn't going to pack out and eject like this.

My go-to jacket
I’ve been wearing the Men’s SuperStrand LT Hoodie nonstop—it’s quickly become my go-to jacket. The fit is excellent, it feels soft and comfortable, and it’s impressively lightweight without sacrificing warmth. I take it everywhere, from daily wear to camping trips, and it packs down so small it’s easy to bring along. Keeps me warm on its own, but also layers great under a shell. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of gear.

Great fit, midweight
I wanted an inexpensive backup puffy to carry for three season hiking. This has performed well. Zips into its own pocket. Fits comfortably over long sleeves or a sweater.

- Warm, ultra light and easily packable. Great jacket to wear if it’s cold out or for when you get to the top of the skin track

Love the Superstand LT line. Sizing was a bit off with broader shoulder and narrower waist. However, not a dealbreaker.

Good but the zipper sucks
Really loved this and still think it’s ok as far as weight and warmth but the durability is poor and zipper constantly pulls apart. Size up the zipper!
