Dirt Roamer Waist Pack

Not perfect, but I love this pack

I bought this pack for mountain biking. The two water bottle slots are what sold me, and I use them every time I go out. The pocket combined with the bungie strap hold the bottles very securely. The pack makes wide contact with the body and holds the cargo very close, so it stays very stable, and I don't notice it bouncing around at all when riding. I have a couple minor gripes about the design as well. Because of the way the bottle pockets are positioned, the storage pockets are split up, and overall there is not a ton of storage capacity for the size of the bag. That said, it's plenty for my phone, a few tools, a couple snack bars, gloves, and glasses with room to spare. My other complaint is the strap design. When I'm wearing the pack tightened down there is a ton of extra strap that can be a pain to manage. There is a sliding loop that's meant to hold everything neatly together, but it slides out of position too easily letting the strap hang loose. I end up wrapping the loose end through the waist band and then tying it off. Kinda annoying but it works. Beyond that, I read that some people were having problems with sweat or condensation soaking through the bag. I haven't really noticed that happening much. One other nice thing about this pack is it works really well as a casual sling bag. It sits nice over the shoulder because of the wide, flat shape. I love using it this way and holding my sunglasses in the water bottle pocket. Overall, I love the bag but some slight design tweaks would make it perfect.

I have now worn this about 15 times. 1 crash and lots of heat. i have only carried one water bottle at a time and havent had issue with bouncing or really even being aware of it. i can carry a bar, multi tool, vest, tube and co2 which is all i need for most rides and in the current heat skip the vest. the strap to secure it tucks away nicely and i have not yet needed the accessory straps. we will see when the cool weather comes how it does with an over layer starpped to it or if i decide to carry the backpack.

Secure buckle, belt is wide enough to fit tightly enough to not move, but still be comfortable to not notice you’re wearing it. Side pockets good for gels, snacks, etc. Main rear pocket large enough for inner tubes & toolkit, but not for a windbreaker. Small rear pocket good for wallet, keys, etc.

This waist pack is super comfortable. Have only used it several times but it rides on my waist/hips great. No sagging even with a pretty full load. Hold two water bottles very tightly so no bobbing or popping out. Had a lightweight insulated jacket on one day and had to remove it and was able to strap it to the outside of the pack where it stayed put. Pleasantly surprised at how well the waist pack works and how comfortable it is to wear.
