We took it with us
We took it with us for 4 day trip to havasupai backpacking. Worked great better than any other filter I have used. No pump. Intuitive. Easy to backflow/maintain. Good quality. Non stinky, no smell/odor in the water.

I’m an avid trail runner and switched over to Platypus for my bladder for the simplistic set-up, as I figure there is less to break. I used this about 1-2x per week. It lasted about 12 months before developing a hole on the seam. I’d love if it lasted a bit longer but it did do better than the Ospreys I’ve used, which have leaked at the connection point of the straw in very inopportune moments.

Not taste free
For me, this has the same foul taste of every other bladder I’ve owned. I clean things well and live a healthy lifestyle, so I don’t think it’s me. Also, it leaks a bit, no matter how tightly I close it. Also very hard to fill with river water on the go. Disappointing.

Good value.
Well made and affordable. Could use a shutoff for the mouth piece to prevent leakage. Still good value for what you get.

Not bad, Not Great

The material is very good quality, I don't taste the plastic used. Though I have a few issues with design: 1. I have to take off the hose to refill it. This is a pain when doing a long hike, taking up time and making organization difficult. This also makes it harder to clean. 2. There is no cover for the mouth piece. Whenever I have to set my bag down it gets dirt and dust all over it.

Fantastic
Had my Platy for many years and its absolutely brilliant. Still fresh clear tasting water. Now looking for a 2nd one for my daughter for our bike journeys so she stops trying to drink all my water

Yet to be used
Gave these to 4 people at Christmas time..... they were very pleased because they said the old ones had a stale taste.... won’t be used for a number of months
