Great All-Around Boot for Casual Skier

These are perfect for the casual skiier who likes to venture off the groomed trails, or wants to be able to switch between classic and skate using the same equipment. They are not fancy, and only have a medium amount of ankle support, so I would still recommend skate boots if that's what you're planning to spend most of your time doing. These are the right amount of support for my style, which is to skate on the smooth flat stretches and shift back to classic when the going gets tougher. I only wish they had speed laces!

XC Equipment

Boots are warm and comfortable as well as easy to put on. I actually fit well into the men’s size even though I’m a woman.

Fit

Did not need any ‘break-in’ time….comfortable and skied the korte on the fourth outing.

Needed new boots to replace my old ones from LL Bean. Purchased these, but wasn't quite sure of the size. My last ones were 42 so I got the same size. They were almost too snug/tight. I was going to order the next size up (43) but Bean was out. I heat molded them with an extra sock on to make the liners fit better. Tried them out for the first time today and they were perfect. Did four miles in them and they kept my feet toasty, no blisters and the fit was great.

The Rossignol XC-5 Cross Country Ski Boots are extremely comfortable because they are sized accurately right out of the box. And the design, material choices, and workmanship are without equal... this is our second pair and we’ll certainly buy a third pair as more family members take up the sport.
