XP 120 Positrack blends alpine-inspired control with nordic touring freedom for rolling backcountry exploration

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve taken the XP 120 out in everything from crusty mornings to deep powder, and it’s become my go-to touring ski for off-track adventures. The wide platform floats beautifully, and those steel edges make descents surprisingly fun. It climbs efficiently with the Positrack base and feels stable no matter how unpredictable the snow gets—just a solid, confidence-building backcountry ski."

Who It’s For

Backcountry Tourers and Adventure Skiers:

Designed for skiers who explore beyond groomed trails and want a ski that balances uphill efficiency with downhill capability. Ideal for those who tour rolling terrain, seek out fresh snow, and prefer the simplicity of a waxless, all-condition base.

What It’s For

Nordic Touring and Light Backcountry Exploration:

Built to bridge the gap between cross-country touring and alpine freedom, the XP 120 Positrack thrives in variable snow. The wide waist offers excellent float in soft snow, while the steel edges and camber underfoot give dependable grip and control for descents and uneven terrain. It’s made for skiers who like to roam.

Why We Like It

Float, Grip, and Versatility in One Package:

We like the XP 120 because it expands where nordic skis can go. The 90 mm waist gives it surprising stability and float, while the Air Tip lightens swing weight and keeps the tips riding high. Its full wood core feels solid and damp over crust or powder, and the Positrack base provides reliable traction for climbs without skins on gentler slopes. It’s a truly versatile backcountry companion.

Fantastic skis for touring rolling terrain!

These are magic. They somehow excel at cross-country over rolling terrain, climbing gentle slopes with ease on the way up and offering superior glide on the flats. I’ve paired them with pin bindings and once you click your heels in they are fun, playful and responsive going downhill! Ski very similar to my old Rossignol Sky 7s. For steeper climbs, I use skins but love not having to if I just want a gentle, zoomy day in the hills!
