Good stuff fs
They have worked great for me and I’ve hiked many many miles in them they work incredibly great for hunting and shed hunting and stuff alike

laces always seem to fray with these boots in certain spots. otherwise pretty solid boots that I have used daily in the desert SW. Can get a little hot but offers good support and comfortable fornthe entire day. all in all a solid boot just the laces have snapped on me multiple times.

Terrible quality
Quickest shoes I've ever had to fall apart~ first two weeks of wearing them. Knew two other people with the same boots and they ripped very quickly as well.

Good light weight hiker
I got these to replace some asolo fugitives that got turn up in a motorcycle crash. I’ve been wearing the asolos for a long time but they lack traction in even the slightest amount of moisture. I’ve worn these now on several aoudad hunts in New Mexico, a deer hunt in Arizona, and Mexico, and several quail hunts as well. They’re great in the rocks and when climbing loose gravelly terrain, and are way more “grippy” than my asolos in the rain and at a fraction of the weight. These boots are not super durable though. The main structure of them is fine but laces barely lasted a month, the seams around the top of the tongue started to fail shortly after the laces and the edges of the soles have taken a beating. That being said I’m still wearing them almost daily and just returned from a weekend trip to the Grand Canyon in them. Wish they were tougher but have been all around happy with them

Zero durability
Got boot in September and proceeded to hike and hunt in it. By December the boot was completely unwearable. It was not waterproof after the first week of wear and developed a squeak. Holes opened up on the sides where the boot creases when flexed. I would not recommend this boot unless you are a weekend warrior who states on trail.

Salewa MTN Trainer LTE GTX
Boots are lightweight, comfortable, and great out the box. The waterproofing is good, but I recommend adding another waterproofing material to it as it seems to leak after heavy rain. These are my go to boots now over choosing Salomon’s for years. I usually wear a 10 1/2 and with these I fit a size 11 perfectly.

No break-in period required for me - these were comfortable out of the box. It's taken me half a life to realize my feet are on the wider side - so I now look carefully at descriptions and reviews. This toe box is comfortable and accommodating with a medium-thickness hiking sock and the boot provides plenty of cushion and protection while feeling nimble and light. My first foray into Salewa and I'm very pleased.
