Here's what customers have to say
The trail running shoe provides a comfortable, secure fit with good cushioning and excellent traction, making it suitable for both trail runs and hikes. It is lightweight and responsive, with a stable midsole and grippy outsole that performs well on a variety of terrain, though it may be less suitable for wet, rocky conditions. Overall, the shoe is a well-rounded option that many users are satisfied with, though it may not be the best choice for those who frequently encounter challenging terrain.

Versatile and comfortable!
After researching various trail running shoes I landed on the Genesis and am very happy with my purchase! I'm training for my first 50k and needed something durable but comfortable for the long-haul. I'm here after two runs (7 miles & 17 miles) both on trails and was pleased with how they helped me crush my training goals! Many more runs to come! Note they have a more standard fit toebox.

Great trail running/hiking shoes!
These are some of the most comfortable and well made trail shoes I have had. I find them true to size and wide enough in the forefoot to not feel constricting.

Super slippery on rocky surfaces!!
I have two pairs of trail running shoe and have no problem when I were wearing the other pair of trail running shoes ran on wet rocky surface terrain, but it was totally different situation when I ran with Salomon Genesis. If trail in your home town contain a lot of rocky surfaces terrain, definitely don't recommend this shoe!! And the fast lacing system will get loose after a long period of time of running.

Great shoe
This is the first shoe I've bought multiples of. It's got a winning blend of being reasonably light, comfortable, feeling secure underfoot, and stability. Some folks gripe about the quicklace system but it works well for me.

Everything I’ve come to expect from Solomon
These shoes were a nice change from the speed cross which were a little bit too solid for me. These give fantastic support -especially on side to side movement- and a more cushioning while still feeling responsive for more technical runs.

Salomon are great shoes!
I rarely leave reviews, but I had to make an exception for this line of shoes. From the moment I slipped them on, I could tell they were something special. The comfort is unmatched, no break in period, no blisters, just pure support and softness right out of the box. I've worn them for long walks, daily errands, travel, work, workouts you name it! I’ve got several different pairs for what I may be doing. They’ve honestly made a huge difference in my day to day comfort. The quality is outstanding. Even after the beating I give each pair. I get compliments all the time and people are always asking where I got them. I recommend Salomon to anyone and everything. If you're on the fence just do it, it’s an investment in your feet. You won’t regret it. These shoes have become my go to, and I’ll definitely be buying more pairs

Good shoe 90% of the time
I primarily use trail runners for peak bagging in Colorado, given that use case i'd give the following comments. The shoe works great for on trail, off trail with loose kitty litter, sloped grass, etc. Nice and grippy and comfortable. That said, the shoe is absolutely terrible for rock climbing/scrambling. I would say it is borderline dangerous to do any scrambling with this shoe, if the rock is wet its like the shoe tread has a layer of oil on it. I would say in general if you regularly encounter wet rock on your trail runs/hikes or if you are looking for a shoe to scramble in, this one is not it.

Genesis shoes!
Bought these shoes last May, switched from the goretex so my feet could breathe more. Im finally ordering a new pair! After a year and a half, so needless to say these shoes are great! I live in alaska and outdoors is a lifestyle. Great comfort, support and flexibility. Love the no tie lace technology and breathability was great. Awesome shoes! Will stay with salomon

Best value mountain ultra shoe
When it comes to mountain ultras, I don't think there's a better value. Great upper, good fit, and plenty of grip. No issues whatsoever and holding up well after 300+ miles so far.

Great Option for arch support
I usually go for the classic XA PRO 3D, but this gave me enough support to get me thru short runs and everyday use.
