Conquer powder and beyond with the versatile Salomon Nirvana QST 106 Skis

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

“After testing the QST 106 in everything from deep powder days to sketchy, variable snow, I can confidently say these skis live up to the hype. They’re playful, surfy, and light enough to tour with, but still feel super stable when charging hard. The poplar woodcore and basalt-fiberglass laminate give it that perfect balance between liveliness and dampness, and the cork damplifier in the tips keeps things smooth when the snow gets choppy.”

We chase the perfect line, no matter the conditions, and the Salomon QST 106 Skis Nirvana are ready to join the hunt. These skis are all about maximizing the fun in the backcountry, whether we’re floating through fresh pow or slicing through tracked-out trees. Designed with a balanced freeride profile—rocker in the tip and tail for easy pivoting and a cambered center for solid edge hold—the QST 106 delivers a silky-smooth ride that keeps us coming back for more.

Beneath the vibrant graphics is a poplar wood core that’s both lively and strong, surrounded by basalt and fiberglass fibers for just the right amount of pop and precision. And with Salomon’s innovative cork damplifier in the tips and tails, every line feels smooth, even when the mountain throws a few surprises our way. These skis make the mountain feel like our personal playground.

Solid as ever, and more stable!

I felt right at home on this new 106. The QST 106 (Orange) has been my daily driver for several years, and I love this update. It has the same predictable, comfortable feel, but even more damp and stable. I'll be spending a lot of time on these!
