Here's what customers have to say

The trail running shoe is praised for its excellent grip, comfort, and responsiveness. It is described as lightweight yet durable, with a balance of cushioning and ground feel. Reviewers appreciate the secure fit, roomy toe box, and effective debris protection. The shoe is versatile, handling technical trails and long distances well. Some minor criticisms include the shoe being narrow for wider feet and potentially less grip on wet rocks compared to previous models. Overall, the shoe is widely regarded as an outstanding trail running option.

Excellent for city parks!

I've had these for about 6 months and they are perfect for changing conditions - sloping paved road to uneven tiled pavers to dirt paths to marble stairs, these shoes are super supportive and grippy.

Excellent work Salomon

Size Bought:
9.5, little longer than non slab

I've got 200mi in a pair of these so far and grabbed a second pair from backcountry for when those are cooked. So glad to have a good mid-stack, non plated shoe in a world of max cushioned or plated shoes. The shoe is light and rips. I'd run any distance in these, knowing my legs will bark before my feet ever do. Ive run many 20+ milers where ive never once touched the laces or ajusted. Midsole is perfect and love the extra softness in the heel on desents. I think these are well worth the little extra cost over the non s/lab version - slightly softer and more responsive foam, larger toe box, and bigger lug spacing. These arent your bounciest option for flatter/faster ultras but these would be my #1 race pick for anything with even moderate technical.

These are pretty great

the S/LAB Genesis are the most comfortable trail shoes I've worn. I like softer but responsive shoes, and these fit the bill. They don't beat me up when I run on the road to the trail, they are light and nimble feeling, they grip well, and they hug the foot nicely. If I had to pick something to fix, I would like a little more underfoot protection from rocks. They've never hurt me, but I do feel them if I step on something sharp.

Nice Shoe, Fit Narrow

Great trail runner! Good grip, they dry face and are nice and light! Only thing is they are a bit narrow and put some pressure on sides of feet if your foot is slightly wider

Best Solomon shoe

I bought these about a month before the Hardrock 100. They are the best Solomons for technical mountain running.

Love it so much I purchased a 2nd pair

This is one of the best shoes I have ever owned. 18 miles in and I had to buy a 2nd pair before they sell out. I'm not a pro, or even close to being sponsored, but I consider myself an above average trail runner. The fit, lockdown and grip are fantastic. I did have to size down from my usual size as these were long in the toe box. If it's good enough for Courtney and Matheiu, its good enough for you.

Ridiculous shoe...look no further!

Salomon has outdone itself with the ultimate mountain running show in the Genesis S Lab...amazing fit, feel, comfort, stability, and finish. These shoes are as much "equipment" as they are footwear. Perfect blend and balance to tackle the most technical (straight up and rocky) trails and/or the best forest groomer trails. Worth every penny!

Comfort plenty toe box room

I bought this to replace ultra glide 2 impressed is an understatement . Plenty of room in the front toe box enough cushion underfoot whilst giving you that connection to the ground. Grip is an impressive feature the limitations of this shoe is the owner they will leave you wanting to do it again and again faster and faster
