Here's what customers have to say
The reviews on these running shoes are mixed. Positives include excellent cushioning, smooth ride, and stable feel. However, many report issues with the heel counter causing blisters and rubbing on the Achilles, as well as the upper material causing ankle and toe pain. Some found the shoes cumbersome and not enjoyable to run in. There are also concerns about durability, with significant wear after limited mileage. While the midsole and ride quality are impressive, the upper design and fit problems prevent these from being a reliable option, especially for longer distances.

Great climber and decent, but
Great climbing and decent, but the upper design has destroyed my feet. The material rubs below the outside of the ankle and the top of the toes. I made the mistake of not taping before the last race in those areas and now paying the price. Hope the New Glide will solve the problems. When is the release?

Most comfortable shoe i’ve worn, but…
First time wearing them with matching salomon socks and now they are stained pink!

Shockingly Bad
Salomon-only loyal user for 10+ years. I'm a mid pack ultra runner so this shoe sounded very promising but failed to live up to the hype. To slide them on, they are very comfortable but that's where the love ends. In short, I've only been able/willing to log about 30 miles in these because they feel very heavy, lack breathability so they are hot, and the foam seems to be straight-up dead. They feel very cumbersome to run in and not enjoyable at all especially compared to the competition these days. In addition to these issues, I've been also experiencing the same heel/achilles pain/rub that many others have dealt with. Really disappointed given the hype and price of the shoes. Salomon seems to have lost their way, I hope they can rebound with future releases.

This shoe flows like a mountain goat on espresso
Nimble, wild, and slightly unhinged (in the best way). It fits like a Salomon should: snug, secure, and confidence-inducing. The cushion? Let’s just say it’s not your grandpa’s HOKAs - no marshmallow moonscape here, just perfectly tuned bounce that eats miles and spits out PRs. I’ve worn a lot of trail shoes, but the S/LabUltra Glide is the one I write poetry about. Or at least weird reviews. Buy them. Love them. Send it.

Exceptional cushioning - My perfect Salomon shoe!
This is the shoe I’ve been waiting for from Salomon. My previous go-to recently has been the UltraGlide 2.0, but have wanted extra cushioning. S/LAB UltraGlide is perfect! This has been the shoe that has helped me to get past some nagging injuries I’ve been dealing with over the past few years and has me excited about increasing my running distances longer again on a body that has over 45years of running on it. I have over 300km on this pair and they still feel fresh out of the box. Thanks Salomon!

Make these in a Wide
I love all your guys shoes, but their all so narrow, and the only wide ones are not really my style. I'd love to see your team expand the widths more so we can represent Salomon. This is a huge miss

Good for the long ride
I have 50 mile on the shoe and like the long ride feel. I was looking for a little more rocker action, but still can enjoy the overall experance. Some problem with the heal lock down as the sides seem a little high. I use K tape in that friction area. Nice to have a larger toe box.

Bouncy yet stable
My fifth pair of Salomon trail shoes and definitely the best. The Ultra Glides give you that marshmallow cushioning but are still stable for hard, uneven trail running. I'd call it a firm marshmallow, and it's just perfect. My only complaint is the tongue which could be an inch shorter. And I'd like more color ways. Otherwise, I will get these again!!

Almost perfect....
Really wanted to love these...picked up a pair at my local running store & was so excited to get them on the trail! What I love....cushion, grip & lacing system is amazing! the first shoe I finally felt stable enough to speed down the hills. They held my feet in place and toes didn't slam into the front of the shoe like they do in every other shoe I own. what I just can't get past... 1 - the painful blisters in the heels. the hard plastic (?) stabilizer piece in the heel construction just digs in. Tried blister tape, moleskin, thicker socks but it just becomes too painful. I can only manage about 10 miles or so before they just start to become too painful. 2 - they hold water and for a long time - was still squishing away almost 0.5 miles up the trail. thankfully it was a one and done but I would expect them to drain better! Sadly I just don't reach for these that often as the blisters are just too much to get past.
