Excellent boot
First off, they needed some work to get my foot in. I have a MV foot, and a width that is at the edge of what these can be stretched to easily. After heat molding the liner and shell, I found the boot to ski excellent, great progressive flex, lateral stiffness similar to a plug boot. I still may grind the boot board and massage a couple spots on the instep, but I’m sold. And for a boot to steer like a plug boot and weighs about half as much is impressive. I’m sold

Great feel Within the foot envelope
Would have loved to have had the boot custom molded to gain a little more room above my foot because the foot envelope was unlike any other boot I’ve been. The foot envelope was snug and embracing. It felt like it supported every bit of my foot without gaps or hot spots…right out of the box. With an adjustment to the shell or molded liner I think these boots would have worked great for me but buckled down (out of the box) there was too much pressure on the top Of my foot

Modern fit and geometry lead the way
Salomon has delivered on a high performance low volume boot that drives modern skis of all rocker profiles well. The S/PRO race offers a level of precision that is not easily found in today’s market. Having spent a lot of time in true plug boots. The S/PRO race offers an easier way to reach an all day fit, while still offering incredible snow feel and a flex pattern that is dialed.
