Great First Hiking Boot

I bought these in my true size (8.5) for a hiking trip out west. I repelled and hiked in these- they were breathable and cushioned. I was only able to wear twice before hikes, and I had no issues breaking them in without any blisters or irritation.

Great shoe, size might be 1/2 size too small

I bought this boot about a month ago to replace a previous model I had from Salomon. It was the closest to the Vaya. Feel is great overall, however the size is about 1/2 size too small. Ordered same size my old pair. That is the only complaint. I was a 6.5 in the Vaya and believe a 7 in these would have been better. They are super light weight, rugged, super water resistant too

Good replacement for Vaya

Shoe slips a little

This is such a nice looking pair of shoes! But its not too comfortable. I have the correct size - any smaller will be too tight. Yet the shoe sits a little loose at the ankle. My ankles slide up and down as I walk. It doesn't happen with my other hiking shoes, so its not just my feet.

Sorry - "Pronates" excessively

I wrote a review about the wonderful fit but the excessive supination when walking. I don't know where my brain was at but I should have written "pronates" excessively, as it rolls my feet inwards, not outwards. I didn't know how to edit the review so I'm submitting this one. So sorry about that!

Very comfortable

Great shoe for every day wear in rainy weather. Keeps your feet dry especially and ankles supported. The picture is a little misleading. The shoe is more of a blue than gray/black.

Wonderful fit but supinate excessively

Incredible fit but too much supination I tried these on at the store and was immediately in love with them - until I started walking in them. The heel caused my foot to rotate inward (supinate) as my foot moved through the stride. What an incredible disappointment. I have a difficult time finding footwear that fits my feet comfortably and these felt fantastic as long as I wasn't walking in them. Otherwise it would have been a full 5-star rating.

It’s more blue

Love the shoe. Comfortable and good ankle support. It’s more blue than the pictures show. Laces have to be double knotted so they don’t untie.

Great boots

I bought these to replace a pair I bought over 15 years ago (also Salomon), and they are great so far. They are warm, waterproof, and fit very well. My only issue with them is the laces that came with them do not stay tied. I used them for about a week before I replaced them with a pair that is not so slick.

Shoes are great. Past service is “meh”

Purchased for my wife to hike after a broken lower leg. She loves them. Have had issues in the past with service that they did not resolve.

Loved them, until I didn’t

I loved these boots, lightweight and very comfortable. The top lace hook would sometimes catch on the lace from the other boot but I fixed that by got double lacing through the lace hooks. The problem arose when the place my foot bends on the tow box wore a hole and now they are not longer water proof. I’m bummed.
