Wonderful Lacing Setup

Bought these boots primarily for the Rocky Mountains, but took them on the West Coast Trail since I preferred boots that fit my feet better. The WCT was more muddy and wet, rather than rocky. However, these boots performed well on the minimal rocky sections and the waterproof membrane held up in 6 days of temperate rainforest environment. We did Owen Point stretch, including the boulder section. That's where these boots shined while speeding across the boulders. May have not gotten the chance to try these in pure alpine, but my experience with these leaves enough trust in these if they can handle sea water wet rocks and mud. The lacing system that is adjustable closer to the toes and locks near the ankles was a life-saver for fitting depending on terrain

The most comfortable mid boots ever!!!

On my feet, I had to get a half a size smaller, 11 instead of my regular 11.5. awesome fit and finish. Super super comfortable right out of the box. No hot spots.

Comfy and Grippy

Bought these boots for a 7-day hike up/down Mount Kenya. I ordered them last minute and didn’t have time to break them in. They fit right out of the box. Super comfortable. Excellent waterproofing. Vey good grip and ankle protection. I didn’t get to test them beyond this trek as I left them for the local porters who were hiking in poor quality shoes/sandals. Will buy a new pair.

Excellent craftsmanship

Thrilled to receive this product in the middle of a stretch of frigid weather with snow and ice. I got great traction, excellent fit, hours of warmth, and great ankle support.

FANTASTIC BOOT!

This is by far the best pair of boots I have ever owned! Great fit, amazing warmth, super comfortable. I honestly don’t know why I waited so long. The color BLUE NIGHTS is absolutely awesome. I wish all of their boots came in this color. Best color hands down.

Wish they had better Grip

I did a lot of research on the different boots supplied by Salomon, as Ive owned a pair for 3 years prior to getting these. So wanted something new and able to replace the ones i have. These are a great looking design, however they are just not trust worthy out on the trails, find them super slippery and hard to trust on the trails. Also the lace lock section on one of mine has already started pipping off. Such a nice promising design, but feels as if it doesn't hold up to the task.

Very comfortable

Brought this for hiking and serves its purpose very well! Warm, great ankle support, waterproof, so easy to clean after a muddy hike and has a fashionable look/ style aside from hikes.

They screwed up these mids for the smallest reason

The bad, then the good. Bad: Had about 2 weeks now, but #1 the shoeelaces NEVER stay tied. You have to tie them every 2-3 minutes, in light use, much less mountain terrain (im in seattle). #2, they are too short to double-tie, so im figureing out my next move before I go crazy. Good:Great color, and ultra-light. I bought these for my summer coastal hiking trips, as my Salomon Quest 4D GTX wore out finally from 2016 (with heavy use). These are so light though, I deceded to keep these as my daily mids, and just bought a pair of my same former Quest 4 shoes, which are solid support hiking boots but heavy.. its worth noting that thed quest 4 also have shoelace issues - they always come untied, however the difference is those ones are always TOO LONG, but double tieing isnt a porblem. Overall thee shoes are solid 5 stars, but something needs to be done about the shoelaces. Ide recommend buying your own or buying lacelocks. H ent used in rain yet as ive been travelling over holidays, but they are super comfy, and seemed to be next top of line from the quest which runs hot. FWIW I wear a 9.5, and it was an easy show fit because it fits exact same size as my new quest 04 gtx
