Comfortable, easy to break in and great for hiking

Bought these as really wanted a decent and light hiking shoe as I am not someone who hikes in the autumn/winter months. This feels more comfortable than my usual (running shoes) and definitely 10x lighter than my hiking boots. I didn't even break them in and instead did a 16km hike with them first thing, they were great, zero pain/blisters etc.

Great Stable Trail Shoe

I'm not a runner, but I walk/hike 5 miles every other day on trails. I also require stability running shoes with a roomy toe box due to foot issues and age. I am happy with these Salomons, my favorite brand. I first tried the waterproof pair, which I felt were too heavy. I exchanged for this pair and am very happy with them. No break-in was required. I appreciated the great traction on hills. While OK for walking/running on paved services for short stints, they really are designed for trails. I wouldn't recommend for mixed use. Re sizing. I typically wear 9.5 road running Salomons (and Brooks), but these run a bit large. The size 9 fit me best.

Horrible customer service.

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The eye loop pulled out with one wear. We attempted to exchange, however backcountry wanted to charge us more saying shipping and taxes were the reason, yet nothing had changed. We were being charged 30.00 more than our original payment for defective shoes. I am just sad and shocked. Will not purchase from them again.

Tried and true

Year over year this is my go-to daily wear. I have probably owned 30+ pairs of these shoes I love the speed lace. The fit and wear are top notch. My only "wish" PLEASE, BRING BACK THE COLOR RED!

Comfortable support!

These are my second pair. I use them for walking in the neighborhood, and hiking in the mountains. They are lightweight yet cushion and support my feet. I have a rather narrow foot and wear a women's size 10.5.

True to size

I am a size 9, but always size up to 91/2. I ordered them in 1/2 size and was too big. The size 9 fits perfect!
