Confident and capable, the Hightower 70 blends big wheels and big travel for any trail
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"The Hightower 70 hits that all-mountain sweet spot. I’ve ridden it everywhere—from chunky descents to smooth singletrack—and it just feels at home. The VPP suspension climbs like a champ and still eats big hits on the way down. With 150mm rear travel and a solid RockShox Lyrik up front, it’s a confident, low-maintenance setup that can take a beating and keep rolling."
When we’re not sure what the trail will throw at us—or how far we’ll chase it—the Santa Cruz Hightower 70 is the rig we count on. This mid-travel 29er is designed to handle the rowdy stuff without giving up all-day pedaling performance. With 150mm of VPP™ rear travel and a bump-eating RockShox Lyrik fork leading the charge, the Hightower balances composure and playfulness for a ride that thrives on variety.
The 70 build pairs a FOX Float Rhythm shock with SRAM’s new T-Type drivetrain, giving us bulletproof wireless shifting, a huge 10–52t gear range, and clean cable-free cockpit. Reserve 30|TR aluminum rims bring trusted strength to the trail, wrapped in grippy Maxxis Minion tires that hold their line when things get wild. Add a reliable SDG Tellis dropper and Santa Cruz’s lifetime frame and bearing warranty, and the Hightower 70 is ready for anything—alpine adventures, hometown loops, and everything in between.
Heads up — We do our best to keep bike specs and images current, but occasional component changes can happen without warning—and sometimes the photos might not show the exact build you’ll receive. If you want to double-check the details, our Gearheads are always here to help.
