Here's what customers have to say
The shoes are generally comfortable and supportive, with many users finding them suitable for both running and everyday wear. However, some customers experienced issues with the fit, such as a narrow toe box or discomfort and numbness in the feet. A few also raised concerns about the durability, noting that the tread wore down quickly. Overall, the shoes seem to work well for many, but the fit and longevity may vary.

Fail :(
I had Ride 13s which I loved and put 500mi on, Ride 14s that I didn't love (but still put on 350mi in them), and thought maybe the Ride 17s would be soft and cushy like the 13s I remember.... it is not. This shoe is so firm and stiff, I got a pain at the ball of my foot that is only resolving now, almost a month later TT_TT I kept trying them, I have 85mi on the shoes now and they're still so firm, but now that it's hot, I got blisters where the tongue gusset is and the ankle where the heel slips. I think these will be going to someone else to use for walking... the only way to make these bearable is to tighten down the laces and even then, the run isn't enjoyable.

Worn through in 4 months…
Worked great for 4 months…then got a hole in the heel. I really don’t run a ton, so the fact that these were damaged that quick was a real bummer. I’ve had much cheaper shoes last much longer. Quality is not there. It was my first pair of Sauconys and unfortunately it looks like they’ll be my last :/

Not too happy with these shoes. I got blisters. I have a couple of saucony tennis shoes but had never gotten blisters.

Same Great Fit
It has the same fit as previous versions of the Ride. It seems to have more padding, but the padding is still firm and requires some break-in time. I expect it to feel softer after 10 miles or so.

LOVE the yellow - support, eh, not great :(
Such a different feel and fit from the Echelon. I was disappointed. I expected a lot more support.

Not The Same
I've run with Ride Saucony sneakers for a very long time. I've been a big supporter of the sneakers but haven't bought a pair since Ride 14...I loved the sneakers so much that I bought four pairs that year and haven't needed a new pair until now. I bought a pair of Ride 17 and to my dismay, they are not the same sneaker. I ordered the same size, but the fit is larger than the previous renditions. They also don't have the same support. They are a little stiff and uncomfortable. The shoe shape is also different. I'd bought two pairs. I wore one for a week (Five runs) and they are still stiff. I guess I'm stuck with it, but I returned the unworn second pair. Guess I will be on a new sneaker hunt.

I’ve run previous versions of the Saucony Ride. The Ride 17 runs large compared to other Saucony models and previous versions of this shoe. It is also quite stiff and the upper is not very comfortable.

Improvement overall!
I have had the ride 17 for several months now and I LOVE these shoes! I enjoyed my previous rides(15) but I did have several small issues with them and the ride 17s have fixed all of these issues! The ride 15s always felt a little narrow on my foot and they were hard to get on…the 17s fit wider and my foot slips into them easily! I have actually considered going down half a size but I live in an area that gets very hot in summer so decided to stick with my size 7s to allow for swollen feet! The previous 15s had very short laces and I had trouble doing double knots for race day…the 17s have lovely long laces so no need now for double knots! There is now a loop on the back of the heel which really helps with getting the shoe on! And they are.very cushioned as well as being responsive! I have been able to do faster sprint workouts (strides) which is really helping with my confidence for improving my next half marathon time! I have a spring half I am preparing for as well as a fall marathon, and although I would love to move up to a plated shoe( such as the endorphin speed 4) my budget doesn’t allow for another purchase right now so I will stick with the 17s.
