Why We Like The Telos TR3 Tent
From its spacious interior to its shareable storage system, the Telos TR3 Tent is ideally made for groups of three. This innovative tent redefines backcountry comfort by increasing headspace, simplifying setup, and creating a hangout space that everyone can share. When paired with our trekking poles or Sea To Summit's Hangout Mode Pole Set (sold separately), the versatile rainfly can be propped up to create a shelter that's roomy enough for the whole party.
When the pack is camping out, this tent truly gets to shine. Sea To Summit designed the Fair-Share Storage system to split the load between hikers. Two separate stuff sacks and the pole bag neatly stack together for the strongest member of the group, or the pieces can be shared to lighten everyone's load. These individual sacks have their own versatile functions too—the pole bag doubles as a Lightbar to add ambiance to the tent, and the tent's and fly's individual stuff sacks increase internal storage by acting as buckets.

Here's what customers have to say
The Telos tent is an innovative and lightweight 3-person model that is highly praised for its excellent design and construction. Key highlights include a tension ridge for great headroom, color-coded setup, and large vestibules. The tent is very compact and portable for backpacking, yet still roomy enough for 2-3 people. It performs well in rain and wind, with impressive ventilation and condensation control. While the stakes may not be ideal for all terrains, the tent is considered a high-quality 3-season option worth the investment.

I upgraded to this 3
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to this 3 person tent from my very old REI 2 person Camp Dome which is still in great shape but now I'm married and my husband complains he wants more room. I also wanted something lighter since we've begun backpacking. This Telos met both criteria of lighter and more interior space plus vestibule space. Setup is quick and easy. One morning after a rainy night I did have a bit of leak that landed inside on the floor. I'm not sure if I needed to guy it out better, or if the amount of rain exceeded the hydrostatic head rating. I read somewhere it was seam-sealed at factory so I did not do that step. One of the reasons I chose this tent was the straighter sides than a typical dome; this makes the poles a little funky to pack up and take some getting used to, but it works out just fine with a bit more attention. Overall, really liking this tent!

Lightweight tent with a lot of luxury functionality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a light weight tent design with good ventilation for humid weather and avoid condensation. But the top ventilation can still allow some water in during heavy rains. Also the water does not bead up on the rain fly, so I have to hang it around to dry up.

BWCA Tested
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently used my Telos tent for a 4 night stay in the Boundary Waters Wilderness area of northern Minnesota. The Telos performed great and I’m really glad I made the decision to acquire it. Pitching the tent was very easy and quick (I practiced a few times at home). The color coding makes the process very intuitive and simple. I utilized a Bigfoot XL ground cloth which integrates easily and effectively. The Telos is lighter and roomier than the previous tents I’ve taken on this trip. My son accompanied me and at nearly 6’7”, the young giant still had plenty of headroom to sit up and space to move around when needed. I really appreciated the design of the rainfly and the various position it can be deployed. For the most part we kept the sides rolled up to maximize airflow and ventilation. But when weather threatened our area it was quick and easy to fully deploy the fly in a matter of minutes. I’d highly recommend this tent to anyone looking for a lightweight shelter for hiking or canoeing into your camping spot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ease to put up and good quality light weight with lots of head space and floor space would recommend for two people with large air pads

Excellent tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We took it on a 5-day hike along the coast of Olympic Peninsula. The tent os comfortable for three people. Light and very well thought through. Aluminum fly attachments are genius.

Honestly not satisfied at all, will be making a warranty claim
I ordered this tent for a backpacking trip with my partner as I was intrigued by the design and the 5 star ratings. I have used many tents in the past and this by far has let me down the most after just two nights. I still have a month to stay in it before I get back to Canada which is very unfortunate. Cheers

Telos 2P Tent - flexible, tall, lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sold on the flexibility and roominess of this tent in a lightweight package. This is my 6th tent and by far my favorite. Set up is easy and it performs well in cold, wet, or clear skies. Looking forward to more backpacking and camping adventures in this tent!

Telos TR2 - Two Person Freestanding Tent
This is another SeaToSummit outstanding product! I went from camping in heavy Kodiak Canvas to a tiny Telos TR2 - Two Person Freestanding Tent. This tent is incredibly light weight and suitable for air travel. It conveniently packs up into 3 small stuff sacs that are provided. Freestanding is great, especially when you're trying to set up on a wood platform. Most of my camping is during the summertime months or in warm climates. I brought this with me down to the USVI and the screens gave me plenty of airflow. I had zero issues with moisture. Personally, I do miss the optional zip up and down windows. I think that option would afford an individual a bit more privacy and night time warmth. As of yet, I haven't personally tent camped during a heatwave.

Excellent tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took it out beach camping. The online instructions are very much needed bc the paper manuals are useless for construction of the tent. Not very intuitive and I've built a lot of tents. Ventilation was good, and very spacious. I think I could set it up now in like 5-10min. One big factor is trying to figure out the tents orientation. All the extra vertical space of the tent makes it strange trying to find the center.

Great shelter at minimum weight and bulk
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent replaces a well-worn SD Clip Flashlight. The Telos is about the same weight, a bit less bulk but considerably roomier on the inside both floorspace and headroom-wise. Important consideration is that the Telos is free standing whereas the CF absolutely had to be staked out. Not a big deal on a forest floor or meadow but much of our useage is streamside, sand and gravel bars. As usual, Sea to Summit's design and engineering is thoughtful and innovative, down to simple things like color coding parts and the modular stuff sack. These guys make crazy good stuff!
