Challenger Insulated Boot delivers waterproof warmth and traction for the coldest missions
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve worn these boots on icy boat decks and flooded trails—warmth and grip are unreal. Easy to pull on, and they stay comfortable all day, even when temps tank."
When the weather turns brutal and the water’s rising, we trust the Simms Challenger Insulated Boot to keep our feet warm, dry, and locked in. Built with a rugged vulcanized rubber shell and 7mm neoprene insulation, this cold-weather beast is lined with grid fleece for next-to-skin comfort and long-lasting heat retention. Whether we're working in the elements or chasing late-season bites, this boot fires back at freezing temps without sacrificing flexibility or comfort.
The Simms Freestone rubber outsole grips across slick docks, muddy trails, and icy ramps—and it’s fully compatible with Simms Hardbite and Alumibite cleats for extra bite when needed. At 14 inches high, it shields against deep puddles and splashy conditions, while the pull-on loop makes suiting up fast and easy. It's a full-on fortress for your feet, no matter how rough the season gets.

New boot goofin
Great boots! Fit perfect and super comfortable for ice fishing and surprisingly grip well without cleats. So far so good!

Big boots
Bought for winter bass fishing. They are probably too heavy to wear on the boat. It feels like if I fell out of the boat I wouldn’t make it back.

Come boot!
Very supportive, and comfortable. I wear an 11. 5, so I ordered a 12. Little big but not bad with thick socks. Good tread too!

SCIBs
These run a little smaller than true size and are a narrow boot versus wide.

great boots
This is the second pair of these I have purchased (these was being a little different/upgraded version of the previous. The vibram sole on the previous model was super slick in the cold and ice....but these newer ones grip super well. These newer ones are also a little more supportive and cushiony, which is nice. The fit seems to be a little off....my normal size 10 was a bit too small(it was hard take them off), so I ordered 11s. The 11s feel good in the toe box/foot area, but there is a little too much room in the ankle and calf area....wish I could sew them a little smaller in the upper. Despite that, these are great fall and winter boots for work and play.

Wonderful
I have had this boat for years. When Simms re-introduced them - I jumped on the chance to have a backup pair. Great quality.
