I have plenty of good MTB helmets, but got this for my e-Townie. The Hi-Viz Yellow really stands out. Only problem was I thought I had the light in there pretty good, but it fell out and I had to buy another light. I put clear tape over it so I don't lose it again. Happy with the helmet though.

Faulty

I would not recommend this helmet. Bought for my daughter two months ago. Brim and inside padding do not stay in place. They are constantly slipping down over her face despite the helmet being the correct size. Velcro is hardly functional. Really poor performance for price.

Saved my noggin

I was wearing this helmet when I flew off my electric scooter going 20 miles an hour. My head in my helmet broke the fall and then I hit my shoulder hard enough to dislocate it and tear my rotator cuff. Thank you smith for keeping my head safe! Not even a mild concussion!

Actually saved my life

I commute in NYC to work everyday on a bike and my husband (thankfully) made me get a helmet. I thought this was a perfect mix of function+aesthetic+value. I had no idea it would actually save my life. A truck took a left turn directly into me, and my head hit the ground so hard I broke 2 teeth and busted my lip. But I didn’t even suffer a concussion or lose consciousness- this helmet did its job. Highly recommend.

Les couleurs sont belles et éclatantes. Le style est différent des autres et j’aime ça. La lumière derrière le casque est un plus pour moi. J’adore.

Love the quality of the helmet, it fits great, and has excellent coverage, it also looks good too.

I bought this helmet after my brother bought one as well. We both have a large oval heads and Smith helmets fit nicely. Tried at least 5 other companies' helmets, but Smith beat them all for fit, comfort and looks. Plus, they are not overloaded with Vent holes. The light and visor are a nice bonus as well.

Love the color and fit, light fell out

The helmet fits well and I love the bright color yellow. I liked the light, but alas it fell out after about a week of owning the helmet. I don't think I'll buy a replacement light because there is not latch or anything to keep it from falling out.

Hardware is lacking

Want to love this helmet but several features are unreliable. I use it to commute several days a week and every time I use it, I have to reattach the Velcro that holds the visor on. Some padding has fallen off, leaving exposed Velcro that ruins hats and hairdos. The light has fallen out so many times I’ve lost it. Most annoying is the chin strap. The tension on the adjustment is not sufficient, so I have to tighten it before each use. Overall could have been a great helmet but the hardware is seriously lacking.

Great Helmet!

I just received this helmet this morning and went out for a test ride soon after. Very pleased with this helmet! It has everything I want in a helmet. Integral rear light (I usually have to add my own) and a great removable cloth (as in cap-style) visor. I don't use a visor in the summer but when the sun is lower in the sky it really comes in handy! I use a light on all my helmets all the time. So I'll see if this helmet is 'venty' enough for summer rides. Otherwise 3 seasons is also great. Love this helmet!
