It's a nice helmet, but my husband's head measured 57.5 cm so we thought we were safe going with the Medium. Big mistake. It was too tight for comfort. Smith should change their measurement range for each size, based on our experience and what other reviewers have said. I might have given it a 5 star rating, but we couldn't re-order the white helmet in L because it was sold out. So, we picked another Smith and SIZED UP. So, it gets a 4 just because of sizing. Smith, are you listening???

Used 4 days, and so far so good. Fit seems a little small per the head measurements. I was technically in the range of M, but returned it and sized up to L. Glad I did. It now has room for my Buff hat liner too. Comfortable with nice venting, visor and straps.

The side of the helmet is tight make it uncomfortable to wear

Great with Oakley Fall Line XL goggles, & glasses

Great helmet--comfortable, lightweight, all the coverage you need and none that you don't. My specific requirements were for a helmet that would pair nicely with Oakley's Fall Line XL goggles. Why? Because I wear glasses, and the Oakley Fall Line is gives me plenty of room for them. Maybe other helmets work as well on this score--I don't know. But the Smith Level definitely works with them.

Smith ski helmets run small!

Bought two different Smith ski helmets in medium using sizing chart and both of them were too small. I had to return them.

The helmet fit comfortably and

The helmet fit comfortably and follows the size guide. The padding and liner is plenty warm and comfortable. The adjustable vents are nice as long as you can remember which way open and which way is closed.

Smith Does Not Stand Behind Products

Purchased a Smith Level ski helmet in red and it has faded to pink over the last ski season. I am a male who does not want to wear a pink helmet. Contacted Smith and they will not warranty product, they don’t care that their product is defective cosmetically. Keep this in mind when purchasing Smith merchandise.
