Why We Like The Torch 1.0 Cycling Shoe
Specialized designed the Torch 1.0 Road Shoe for entry-level cyclists who want to clip into premium footwear for their first time. It features a scientifically-tested Body Geometry design that provides proper hip-to-foot alignment for a boost in power and increased efficiency. The moderately stiff sole balances between beginner-friendly comfort and pedal-pushing performance. Specialized equipped a Boa dial and hook-and-loop strap to fasten the supple upper snugly around your foot.

pretty

This is my first pair of specialized shoes and i've been using them the last year. I ride around 10,000kms a year, so, that's a lot of riding. They scuff easily, losing their outer pretty colors, and they don't fit very tight, but that's great, actually. I love SIDI (which don't scuff and last forever) but my feet get too cold because they fit so tightly. these have some room and in the winter i just blocked the vents and wore my shoe covers and they worked great (I am an all season rider). BTW I am a woman with a NOT wide foot in women's sizes, but these were more comfortable for me. If they didn't scuff and lose the outer color so easily I'd give them 5 stars.

Great show at a great price

I bought these 6 weeks ago and have a handful of rides on them. Weather in Northern Nevada is deciding if winter is over yet. These shoes are great. I own two other pairs of Specialized shoes, (why I marked through the wringer) a dedicated road pair and a trainer pair each with thousands of miles. The size fit and feel is symmetrical across all three pairs. I just really wanted a white pair for y summer riding!

Took sometime to wear in initially, but now that I've got them a little worn these have been great. Still can use some minor adjustments, but overall I'm more than satisfied with the purchase. These are coming close to replacing my Fizik R5's

Very Satisfied!

I bought these shoes about a month ago and still getting used to them. The tongue and offset closure is a little different from what I'm used to but the price was good, the shoe fits comfortably, has a stiff sole, wider toe box, looks really good, and so far, I'm pretty impressed and satisfied. I'll give it a few more weeks to make a final assessment.

Not suitable for women
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I'm a woman and read from reviews that the Specialized brand tends to run narrow, so although these shoes are unisex (Specialized does not have a women's version to the Torch 1.0) - I found that they are too wide for my feet. If you're a woman with slim ankles and normal foot width, probably skip these. The toe box is good but the sides of the shoe are wide. My foot measures 23.5 cm. I got the size 38 which is 24.5 cm. Again, I thought that Specialized ran a little smaller than other brands but these are true to size according to the size chart. It feels comfortable but a tad roomy, like what I would wear for running shoes. Cycling shoes are supposed to fit snug. There is no 37.5 which would have been the perfect size for me, so if I had to repurchase, I would get a 37. Another thing I don't like is the shape of the shoe. It's quite unflattering.
