Why We Built The Stoic Double Cloud Camp Bed
The Cloud Camp Bed is Stoic's comfiest sleeping pad, so we followed the same recipe and sized it up for two campers. It uses plenty of foam to offer all the cushioning you need to sleep soundly. Its soft, stretchy fabric has a TPU coating to protect from wet weather should you sleep outside the tent, and the bottom is reinforced to stay solid on rocky grounds.

Here's what customers have to say
The sleeping pad provides excellent comfort and insulation for car camping, with many users comparing it to a home mattress. It is large and thick, making it suitable for two people. However, it is not suitable for backpacking due to its size and weight. The main downsides are that it can be difficult to deflate and store, and some users have experienced air leaks over time. Overall, it is an excellent choice for a luxurious car camping experience.

Super comfy mattress

This mattress is so comfortable. My only complaint is that its a pain to roll back up and it is HUGE. But I think that's pretty standard for mattresses like this, so overall, great product, will definitely make camp nights better!

So comfy
This mattress is worth it! So comfy. You can fill it up all the way for a firm bed, or let air out for a softer bed. It’s got great padding inside and would be comfy even without air.

Bulky and difficult

I have dread this thing. It takes 15-20 minutes of wrestling to deflate every time and it can't be done in a car. Imagine that in rainy weather or red clay mud outside without a tent. While packed up, it takes up an entire floorboard above the seat. A foam pad would be just as good and less room. Or do two sleeping pads. I took it tent camping twice and yet again took 20 minutes to deflate while people waited on me, After two years I may ditch this.

Very comfortable and big enough
Was a great pad, but it was supposed to be self-inflatable. It takes quite a while to self-inflate (but still needs to be blown a bit more to have it full). Deflating, need a pump or vacum. Deflating and inflating need to turn the air thingy on the openning after you unscrew the opening. This shows only on the inside that you must turn to inflate and turn around to deflate. Easier with a pump or vacum. The pad came with no instructions.

Very Comfy!
- Familiarity:

My girlfriend and I purchased this camp bed for our trip to Colorado. It's a little tricky to get it rolled out and inflated to size in the tent since the valves are on the end. If you're cheap like me then no pump is required and it can be blown up in a few short minutes. However all the work to get it setup is worth it! Very comfortable to sleep on and it sleeps two people with room to spare. The rotating valves worked great and it only takes on person to roll up once you figure out a good technique for compressing the air out. Will be taking on all our future camping trips! FYI the product is a little bulky and heavy so it's definitely cannot be packed in to a remote campsite.

Disappointed in quality

We had the stoic mattress about a month. First used it camping the 2nd weekend in August. Then was used as a guest bed. Now we just got home from our 2nd camping trip and it does not hold air anymore. Luckily there is foam inside, so we weren't completely on the ground. Not near as comfortable without air.

Amazing pad for car camping
- Familiarity:

My partner and I have been using this pad for car camping for the last 2 years and it has made camping SO much nicer. It is so comfy and fits perfectly in my 2 person tent. It’s just as comfy as being in our own bed! It definitely cannot go backpacking, since it does not pack down small but is just fine for car camping. After 2 years of heavy use (~15 camping trips/year), it’s pretty worn out and losing a lot of air at night but is honestly still more comfortable than any backpacking pad I’ve used. It also keeps us super warm - have had it on many nights below 25 degrees and were so much warmer than with our previous pads. If you’re looking for a comfy car camping pad for 2, this is it!! I’ve had 3 friends borrow it, and all have gone to buy their own afterwards.

Awesome sleep while tent camping

My wife and I just love this Stoic mattress. We slept on it a few times in the living room first and have been camping three times this summer. Each night we have been warm and comfy, sleeping better than ever in our tent. Historically I don’t really sleep when we camp because I’m a stomach sleeper and most ground floors aren’t super comfy on the kneecaps. You can sleep on your side, back, even stomach with the Stoic doublewide. Pro-tip: I blow a little extra air into it after it self-inflates for a little additional support, especially if it will get cold at night (cold air molecules shrink and it gets cold in the Rockies at night). Deflating is certainly a team-building exercise- we fold it in half and slowly roll it while the other person sits on it and then bear hug it at the end but we’ve always gotten it back into its bag. However, it takes time and thus the 4 stars.

Bought this for a 6 night car camping trip. I can’t believe how comfortable it is! I am usually a side/stomach sleeper and had no problem. If space is a concern, note that it is pretty large. I would recommend taking a small pump to help deflate it. Glad I made this purchase!
Do you have a question about this product?

I recently purchased this bed, and I can't figure out how to get it to fully deflate. Both valves seem to have identical rotating pieces in the opening, and I can't figure out how to orient them to get more air to come out of the bed.
