Tackle daily missions with the Base Camp Daypack—rugged, organized, and laptop ready

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I’ve been using the Base Camp Daypack as my everyday carry, and it handles everything. The fabric is burly and water-resistant, the laptop sleeve is super plush, and there’s a surprising amount of organization inside. Whether I’m heading to work or out for a weekend trip, it just works."

From crowded train rides to trailside stops, The North Face Base Camp Daypack is built to handle it all. Inspired by the brand’s expedition-grade duffels, this pack uses burly Base Camp fabric that shrugs off scuffs, weather, and daily wear. A spacious main compartment organizes your books, gear, or gym kit, while the padded fleece-lined laptop sleeve keeps tech safe and scratch-free.

We love how the thoughtful details elevate everyday use. The external front pocket features a fleece-lined sleeve, mesh drop pockets, and a key hook for smaller essentials. Daisy-chain webbing and front webbing straps give you options to clip or stash extra layers. With two water bottle pockets, an adjustable sternum strap, and 360-degree reflectivity, this daypack is ready for wherever the day takes us.

Hit the trails

Love the look and the double water bottle holders. Several compliments when I have worn it for a weekend trip. Good construction and nice interior too.

Would buy again

I really like the look of this backpack. It is very comfortable and good for work as a teacher. If you are looking for lots of little extra pockets and things, this probably isn't the backpack for you. It doesn't have as much volume as others. Great backpack overall though!

Good backpack

I took a break from north face backpack for a while and I'm glad this was my purchase for everyday use. Very nice backpack. Good structure, it has not fallen over for me and able to stand. The main compartment is a bit tight width wise (more space length wise) - but it works for my day to day. Side compartments are huge. Water resistant but definitely need to cover in a bad rain storm.
