Never Stop Utility Pack blends vintage styling, smart storage, and versatile carry options
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This pack is so versatile. The crinkly fabric looks great, and I love that the shape adjusts with snap tabs on the sides. The shoe pocket is perfect for keeping gym sneakers separate, and the stand-up design makes packing super easy."
From daily commutes to weekend getaways, the North Face Never Stop Utility Pack keeps everything organized in a streamlined, vintage-inspired silhouette. The North Face built this pack with durable recycled nylon fabric finished with a non-PFC DWR coating to shrug off light rain and resist abrasion.
A spacious central compartment holds larger essentials, while a padded laptop sleeve, internal mesh pockets, and a dedicated shoe pocket keep gear neatly separated. Snap tabs let us adjust the profile of the pack to match what we’re carrying, and the stand-up design means loading and unloading is hassle-free. Soft satin webbing and easy-grab handles add a refined touch, and a luggage pass-through makes this bag travel-ready.

Where have you been all of my life?
This was my first backpack purchase in over 20 years as I am a Gen-X'er who has used totes or crossbodies for all bag purposes other than hiking. Last year I noticed my hiking backpack didn't trigger the same pain from a neck injury than other types of bags did and decided to try a backpack as my travel personal item. I was drawn to this particular bag carried by a woman sitting next to me on a flight because it wasn't bulky despite being full, fit under the seat, included a luggage sleeve, and had dual handles which made it look more like a tote than a backpack. She had it in the beautiful green color but I selected the Latte as it was a better match with my existing luggage. This bag has literally changed my life, as it if far easier to carry and fits more than my Kate Spade Weekender ever did, including a laptop and accessories, a book, purse items, TWO stacked Lug Trolley toiletry cases, two bottles, and a coat in the separate zippered bottom compartment. Now that I am 100% a backpack person I've purchased two more in this similar dual-handle non-bulky style for work and overnight trips that don't require a laptop, but after 6 months this is still my hands-down favorite. My only complaint is the waterproof fabric does scuff easily, but if it should get too rough I would definitely replace it with the same one.

Great backpack for traveling
I really like this backpack! It's super convenient for traveling and works great as a personal item for flights in the U.S. or abroad. There's tons of space for my laptop, tablet, wallet, keys, and headphones. I also love that there's extra room at the bottom for things like an extra pair of shoes or wet items like swimwear - it's one of those features you don't realize you need until you have it. The side pockets are a big plus too; they easily hold two large water bottles. The only things I wasn't thrilled about were the color and material. I ordered the sage green shade expecting the color shown online, but in person, it looks more silver than green. The material also feels thinner compared to my old TNF Surge backpack, which held up for years through high school and college, and is now my work bag. This bag still gets the job done, but I worry it might not handle rain as well. Overall, it's a great backpack with smart storage and a sleek look - just wish the color and material were a little more like the classic TNF quality I'm used to.

Tore after a couple uses
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Love the design but the inside fabric tore after less than a month of using it for school, pretty disapointing.

Discolored before I even used it
I used this bag on one overnight to my in-laws. I am not an outdoorsy person but my other half loves Northface and we have a ton of products however they wouldn't replace or offer warranty on a pristine bag.

Backpack
Great product that checks lots of boxes. Came on time. I would not buy for myself because of the cost, but the person I got it for is happy with it!

larger than expected
It's a great pack. my favorite part is the shoe compartment in the bottom. It's a little larger and less compact in person, so I returned it because it wasn't what i was looking for. I would have kept it if i didn't already have a backpack this size

RN Work Bag
I received this bag as a gift during my final year of nursing school, and I've used it ever since-from clinicals and classes all the way to my first RN job on the neuro unit. It easily fit everything I needed for school, including heavy textbooks, my MacBook, supplies, and snacks. The back panel pocket in the main compartment perfectly fit my iPad Pro 13 that I used to take notes. I tend to overpack, but this bag never felt too cramped. The bottom compartment was (and still is) perfect for carrying an extra set of scrubs or clothes. When I started working 12 hour shifts, it was an easy decision for me to keep using this bag. On some days, I'm out of the house for over 16 hours, so I'll pack like it's an overnight bag. While I don't usually carry my MacBook to work, I like to use the dedicated laptop compartment for important paperwork and my report sheets. At 5'9, I appreciate how the bag fits my frame. I love its simple, sleek style-I've even gotten compliments on it. The interior organization is just right for my needs. Best of all, I don't feel like I have to baby it. I have the black version, and it's held up well through moderate use 5-6x/wk in different environments. The bottom panel is made of a more durable material, and the nylon exterior is both sturdy and easy to clean.

Utility backpack
This pack disappointed. Despite initial product page claims, it lacks internal secure pockets and a key ring. Customer service was unhelpful when addressing these discrepancies. Beyond the missing features, the pack is bulky, uncomfortable when full, doesn't stand on its own reliably, and offers poor rain protection. Not recommended for commuting.
