Summit Breithorn LT Hybrid Hooded Jacket brings warmth and flex to alpine layering
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"This is my go-to alpine midlayer for unpredictable climbs. The insulated core keeps me warm while the stretch sleeves let me swing tools or scramble easily. It layers under a shell or works great on its own for dry, cold starts."
We’re always looking for gear that keeps up with the push to summit—and the Summit Breithorn LT Hybrid Hooded Jacket by The North Face is built to move. Lightweight but packed with warmth where it counts, this technical hybrid insulator features a 100% recycled Pertex® Y Fuse shell filled with 800-fill ProDown™ in the core for cold-fighting power. Meanwhile, FlashDry™ sleeves and underarms allow for breathability and a full range of motion without overheating.
From pre-dawn ascents to belay station breaks, the Breithorn LT is made to thrive in stop-and-go alpine missions. It packs easily, fits under a shell, and gives us a quiet boost of warmth without slowing us down. Bluesign®-approved materials and RDS-certified down round out a jacket we trust both in the mountains and for responsible design.

Very light + Might warmth = Amazing Jacket
I picked up The Breithorn LT Hybrid Hoodie as i wanted a light puffer for fall time and early winter. I am so glad i picked this jacket. Its very light and incredibly warm. Love the 800 Pro Fill body and the stretchy fabric on the arms and sides. I can layer it under my Apex Flex GTX jacket perfectly for some extra warmth on cold rainy days. Very happy with this purchase.

This used to be the Unlimited Jacket
TNF loves to reintroduce older pieces with updates. This piece is no different. This is an updated version of the Unlimited Jacket released in 2018. DNA is the same ...800 Pro Fill down....treated with a water repellant so it doesn't become useless once wet. Softshell arms so that your core can remail warm but you can get a little relief in the arms for those not so cold days OR for running around on a cold day where you don't want to overheat. Personally I don't know what to TNF so long to re release this jacket. They make perfect sense. The addition of the hand warmer pockets and Napoleon chest pocket on this is what the Unlimited Jacket was missing....mainly because that jacket was designed to zip into another jacket and this Breithorn Hybrid can be worn under a shell but has the standalone and more usuable features with pockets to warm your hands and a Napoleon pocket to store keys, phones and money. Down is lofty and toasty. This jacket could be used down to about mid 40's to mid 50's depending on the person and what your wearing underneath. Good price point....good construction...good look. Would definitely recommend this to someone in the TNF Ecosystem or someone who runs hot and needs a lightweight warm piece.
