Summit VECTIV Sky 2 delivers ultralight speed and control for high-performance trail racing

What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:

"I've worn the Summit VECTIV Sky 2 for both high-alpine training runs and race days, and it flies. It feels incredibly light but still offers stability and propulsion thanks to the carbon plate and DREAM midsole. The grip is also reliable even on slick, uneven terrain. Easily one of my top choices for fast, technical trails."

Every ounce matters when we’re chasing PRs on the ridgeline, and the Summit VECTIV Sky 2 from The North Face is built to go lighter, faster, and farther. As the lightest trail-racing shoe in the VECTIV line, it’s purpose-built for speed without sacrificing precision or protection. From grippy switchbacks to exposed scrambles, we count on this shoe to keep our feet locked in and our cadence high.

A full-length 3D carbon-fiber plate paired with a rockered midsole creates a rolling, race-ready stride with forward propulsion and stability. The DREAM nitrogen-TPU midsole provides plush rebound with less weight and better longevity than traditional foams, while the breathable seamless upper keeps us cool during high-output days. The updated heel fit and integrated tongue wings give us a more dialed lockdown than the original Sky, and the SURFACE CTRL outsole is tuned for technical terrain.

Superb Trail shoe for all terrain

I have used these for 3 different trail races now and they are the best all around trail shoe I have ever had. I did one 50K, 100K and a 50 mile and they excelled on all different terrain from smooth single track to technical rocks and roots, river crossings and mud with very little to no slippage. They are very comfortable and with the soft heel cup they are perfect for anyone with Haglund's Deformity. Also being lightweight is a plus when doing long trail races. I have never felt uncomfortable in them even after 10 hours or more I could keep wearing them. As with all the other shoes in the Vective line up I have used I wear a Balega blister resistant sock just to make sure the Kevlar lining doesn't make a wear spot somewhere. I have yet to get a blister while wearing these.

Magnifique

Too comfortable, they are light and react very well at a fast pace. On descents and technical terrain they are amazing! I would buy them again a thousand times.
