Here's what customers have to say

The tent is spacious and easy to set up, suitable for road trips and camping. However, some customers report issues with durability, such as broken poles and the material not holding up well in certain weather conditions. There are also concerns about the lack of a front door, which can make it difficult to retain warmth. While the overall feedback is mixed, customers should carefully consider their specific needs and usage environment before purchasing this product.

I would absolutely buy this tent again!!!

I have used this tent for the past three or four years and it is great!! Very roomy, plenty of head space and room for two full size cots. Once I learned to set it up, it's up in less than 15 minutes. The design really helps keep it dry even if am setting it up in the rain as there is no rain fly! The front vestibule is huge and has plenty of room for my two chairs and table...which is where I have the coffee maker for early morning coffee in bed! The back vestibule is great for gear storage or other non necessities. The two drawbacks are that the big side windows open from the outside of the tent and some water has pooled toward the vestibule, causing a drip. I used an extra pole for the latter to keep the material taught allowing the rain to run off. On the former it's just not that big of a deal, as I prop the vents out on top and leave the front vestibule 1/8th of the way open and she has plenty of ventilation. I have also closed the whole thing up and stayed toasty warm! Dr. J. Seriously I have a PhD in Camping!

a really great tent for the warmer weather

Impressive tent, easy to setup and and very high quality. However the front screen needs as option to close because it gets cold really fast and easy.

Once you get the hang of it, it doesn't take long to put up

First time putting it up took my partner and I over an hour! By the 4th time, 15 minutes tops. A WONDERFUL tent.

Needs a front door covering

This tent is not for mild or cold climates. There is no front door, just a screen. In Yellowstone with nightly temperatures in the low 40's. use of any heater is almost useless. I had to velcro a blanket over the outside screen door just to capture warmth from the heater.

I love this tent

Love the ease to set up this tent (especially with 2 people). The tent is spacious and I appreciate the large openings to get my gigantic queen size blow up mattress into the tent inflated. My only (minor) complaint is that the ground cover does not extend into the vestibule area. I wish the dimensions of the vestibule were posted so I could easily buy an alternative ground cover.

I highly recommend this tent and would buy again if needed.

I use it when I'm camping for more than 3 nights in one area. It allows me to store all my gear that I want to keep dry inside the sleeping area. The vestibule is great for my bike and keeps my camp chairs out of the night time dew. If it rains I can sit or cook and stay dry.

Solid enough tent, needs a few improvements to be perfect.

This is a very nice tent. We've had ours for a few years, and aren't considering replacing it yet. It's been weathertight and has withstood some heavy winds, and the ventilation is superb. The aluminum poles are not industry standard sizes, and North Face does not sell replacements or repair parts, so you'll need to find a specialist for repair. It would be improved by having solid panels to cover the mesh panels for cold weather. The footprint should have been included for the price, and it appears that people are having some issues with availability, although we got ours at the time of purchase. Still, this is a nice tent. Pack size is reasonable, the vestibule is a luxury, and it sets up easily after the first time. I'm tall, so I can set it up solo unless it's windy. When this one is worn out, another Wawona will be on the list, especially if North Face makes some improvements in the next generation. As an aside, we really like the subdued appearance of the grey/green.

I'm planning on returning it

It was almost the perfect tent. The door between the vestibule and the sleeping section is mesh. There is not way to fully enclose yourself in. So much cold night air and not way to stop it... brutal flaw
