Mt. Maddsen Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot offers trail-ready comfort and all-weather protection
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I’ve worn the Mt. Maddsen Mid on muddy spring hikes and dry fall treks, and it’s handled both with zero complaints. The waterproofing holds up surprisingly well, and the EVA midsole keeps things comfortable on long days. It’s a solid all-season hiking boot that punches above its weight."
We reach for the Timberland Mt. Maddsen Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot when the trail demands both comfort and weather protection. Timberland built this boot to keep our feet dry and supported, even through wet forests and rocky terrain. A TimberDry™ waterproof membrane keeps moisture out without trapping heat, while the padded collar and mesh lining deliver a breathable, secure fit through every step.
Inside, a cushy EVA footbed and compression-molded EVA midsole soak up trail impact, making long miles feel lighter. We also appreciate the eco-minded ReBOTL™ lining, which contains at least 50% recycled plastic—because comfort on the trail shouldn't come at the planet’s expense.

Good boot for motorcycling
I needed a boot for motorcycle riding, these are great for that. Leather uppers are protective but not too stiff. I love the sole as it has tread even under the arch area. Keeps me on the foot pegs. Good for walking too. They feel light on my feet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent boots! I bought one pair in 2018. I weared them every day in winter, and a half of spring and autumn for 7 years. They only got a little scratched. Very comfortable, waterproof. I baught a new pair to renew boots. Highly recommended.

Comfortable but not long lasting
Attractive design. Very comfortable. I got these for hiking and found myself wearing them everyday. I bought them about a year to year and a half ago. The soles have worn no much and have started to peel away from the body of the boots. They are no longer waterproof and my socks get wet just from walking in my grass yard in the mornings from dew. I will still wear them for yard work but nothing more.

Excellent, consistent Mt. Madssen boots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing Timberland Mt. Madssen boots, Black and the Grey- with- orange - accents, year round for many years now. They are consistent in manufacture, breathe yet are waterproof, very comfortable, and about perfect in Men's 12. I ordinarily use a 1/8" simple plain thickness Spenco neoprene insole. When a pair is somewhat worn, I move it to be an outdoor gardening or winter shoveling duty pair. I have pairs in 2 locations doing those outdoor duties. The Black take black wax shoe polish well and can be revitalized a number of times with that. The grey - with- orange pretty much look good for a long time and their laces are a cool fine check grey -and- orange too. The laces are overlong, so I pull about 8" forward at the boot front,, cut the middle with scissors, tie a tighr square knot, trim the extra from the ends, melt the fringe ends with a match to prevent fraying, and put a drop of glue on the knot to stabilize it. My all-the-time footwear, Year-round in Massachusetts.
