Why We Like The UnParallel TN Pro Shoe
For powerful movements on steep angles, we pull on the UnParallel TN Pro Shoe. With an upper rubber patch and a rear slingshot rand, this pair secures our toe and heel hooks, while the slightly rounded toe is forgiving on dynamic sequences. The thick wrap of soft RH rubber offers us support through long sessions and lasting grip performance yet remains surprisingly sensitive for precision footwork.

Excellent All Around

The TN Pros are excellent all around climbing shoes. They somehow manage to do the impossible, which is to be a stiff/soft hybrid shoe with high sensitivity and great smearing. This is attributed to Unparallel's inherited experience (being largely the group that made 5.10 special) and their excellent rubber blends. The harder, thicker rubber makes them more durable than your average soft gym shoe. I have climbed several dozen gym sessions in them, and 3 times on real rock. There is wear, but nowhere near needing a re-sole anytime soon. The single piece sole and harder rubber also makes them excel on edges. This feature alone won me over when I was deciding between this and the flagship. I knew I was going to need confident edging for the tiny ledges and chips that are common outdoors. With most shoes you have to compromise on some stickiness and smearing ability when going with a harder shoe. This is not the case with TN Pros. Slab is my favorite and I find myself smearing and smedging like a pro. I only needed to make a minor adjustment to the angle of my smedges and smears to stay on the wall like a spider. This adjustment involves dropping the heel more than usual on a split sole or soft shoe. Not a big deal when you also get the benefits of such powerful edging on tiny chips. These are a very tight fit and the last is specific to narrower heels. They fit my feet well and I have no trouble with heel hooks. I recommended trying some on because if you don't have the right feet for them, they could be really bad. Also, Unparallel already makes them climber tight. I made the mistake of going only 1/2 size down from street shoe size. This made my first several sessions hampered by intense pain and pressure on my toes. They have finally broken in to a state that is not painful, but still extra tight. I will only buy Unparallel shoes in my street shoe size from now on. The pain is not worth it. I lost some ability because of the break in period. Street shoe size is a performance fit.

Awesome shoes

I was blown away by the fit of these shoes. I wear a 42 (mens) in Sportiva Solutions - not super snug performance fit but slightly snug and ordered a 9.5 (42.5) in these shoes and they fit perfectly. They appear to be narrow but stretch out to the width of your foot perfectly. Worthy cop for sure.

Outstanding outdoor bouldering shoe
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- 9.5

I bought this shoe as my first Unparallel when my other shoes were not working well for me on small footholds bouldering outside. I tried half size down but it was a little unbearable for me, street size fit well but a bit painful. Now that they are broken in the upper is a hair loose but my toes and heels are still great. This shoe has stiff enough soles to get very good holds on tiny edges outside, with rubber that seems to have unlimited grip on rock. After a few sessions they will soften enough to smear, it's hard to imagine a better outdoor bouldering shoe than this one. My confidence outside has skyrocketed and I'm sending harder stuff every time I go out. Highly recommend this shoe for folks with narrower heels and toes for outdoor bouldering. I imagine this shoe would also do well inside but I picked up Flagships for that since indoor rarely has edges those won't handle.
