Metron 60 RS wheelset shaves drag and gains speed with full carbon aero tech
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I ran these wheels through a full tri season and never doubted them once. The carbon spokes are stiff without being harsh, and the PRS hub engagement is lightning fast. I noticed the difference on punchy climbs and felt totally planted bombing descents in the wind."
We count grams and obsess over aerodynamics because every second counts. That’s why the Vision Metron 60 RS wheelset earns a permanent spot on our race bikes. Handmade from full carbon—including the spokes—this deep-section wheelset is built for the podium, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s engineered to excel in real-world wind conditions, not just the wind tunnel.
The Metron 60 RS features a 60mm deep, 23mm wide tubeless-ready rim that balances stiffness with just enough forgiveness for long-haul efficiency. Vision's new PRS hub system with 72 points of engagement translates every watt into acceleration, while the 2:1 lacing pattern and carbon bladed spokes keep the ride planted through crosswinds and corners alike. Whether we’re racing crits, tackling long course triathlons, or sprinting for the town line, this wheelset delivers aerodynamic advantage without compromise.

Replaced my PrincetonCW PK4550 w/ these
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Replaced my Princeton Carbonworks Peak 4550 with these Current setup: Orbea Orca OMX/SRAM AXS Red --- I loved my $4k Princetons, except for the fact that having bought them only a couple of years ago, the 19mm internal width became dated pretty quickly. That capped me at 26mm tires. The only thing I really miss about the Princetons is they could be run tubeless tape-free since they weren't drilled. These are just as literally stiff. What I love about the Vision RS 60s: *Weight, weight, weight” or the lack of it! 1390g per set, for real. *23mm internal width - my Conti STR 30s measure out to 31.5mm. Since the wheels external measure 33mm wide, no issue. I might even try a 28mm on the front next time. *Group rides at 22~24mph - these just roll. Honestly, I keep finding myself creeping too close to the wheel in front without even trying. hate that shot of adrenaline when it's a near miss LOL. I seriously have to be cautious because they move faster than you realize. *Climbing - these don't feel like 60s when going uphill. Almost feel like I’m being pushed up rollers. *Engagement' very fast. *NOT Hookless' had no interest in it, and these satisfy that. I really believe true hookless will disappear in road cycling. *Proven pedigree - these wheels have been raced and proven at the highest level of pro cycling. Do I wish they had some visible colored graphics? Yes. Do I think about that once I'm moving? Not at all. Some reviews mention the hubs being loud. But are they any louder than DT Swiss? Not really. What I do notice is the sound of the aero spokes'but honestly, if I wanted quiet, I'd sit on the trainer, put in earbuds, and turn on ANC. Bottom line: these are an incredible value. Maybe the best value in high-end wheels? Why not 5 stars? Because maybe there are better wheels out there I haven't ridden yet, like the Scope Artech? Oh, and I still wish they had some more graphics. 😏
