Here's what customers have to say

The water cooler has excellent insulation that keeps beverages hot or cold for long periods. Many users praised its ability to retain ice and maintain cold water, even in hot weather. The large 6-gallon capacity is suitable for parties, camping, and other outdoor activities. However, some users reported issues with leaking around the spigot or lid, and the insulation may not be as effective as the brand's coolers. Additionally, pressure buildup can make the lid difficult to open. Overall, the water cooler is a high-quality product that works well for most users, though a small percentage have experienced minor problems.

Good water cooler

This water cooler keeps water cold for way longer than standard water coolers. Only compliant about it is when driving dirt and off road trails water seems to come out of it through the lid. Somehow getting through that rubber gasket around the whole lid.

Perfect for camping

Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in (like those 5 gallon containers you re-fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold (with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I’d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4.5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

Best drink dispensers out there

While the Silo is a great product. I sure wish they would offer them in colors like everything else. Reliable and effective like every other Yeti cooler. We take this to the beach and use it for margaritas. Love it! Easy to clean and stays cold all day, even when the margaritas don’t last that long.

Not what I expected

I expected more out of this. Even though it did keep my drink cold, it made a mess! My first time using it and the spigot kept leaking. I had to put a towel underneath it. All of my other yeti products have never let me down and I expected the same from this one.

Leaking

The Yeti was leaking water during the first use. There was no way to prevent the leak.

Cold beverages stay COLD. Hot beverages stay HOT

Got for my kids’ food truck when we need to use a table outside truck at private events. Perfect size and effective at keeping hot beverages (like cider, which is a big Fall deal in Midwest) HOT and cold beverage COLD. Spigot is world class. Clean up a breeze. Sturdy. Classy looking (we explored a cheaper, square so-called “competitor”) for non-personal use

Pour out a cold one

I went to Texas on a bachelorette, and not only was the YETI store right there, but every restaurant and hotel had these YETI Silo Water Coolers. I couldn't stop thinking about how my parents lake house needs this - aside from cutting down on plastic, it keeps your water iced and is easy enough for adults and kids to use! We love it!
