Maximize speed and control with the XPLR SLICK Tubeless Tire for dry gravel
What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:
"I love how fast this tire feels on smooth gravel and dry hardpack. The center slick really makes the bike hum, and the slight side texture gives enough bite when the corners get loose. I will say setup was a bit stubborn, so I recommend warming the tire or using a lever to help with bead seating."
Fast gravel days call for a tire that doesn't hesitate—and the Goodyear/Zipp XPLR SLICK Tubeless Tire is all about confident speed. Engineered to complement Zipp’s 303 XPLR SW and S wheelsets, this tire elevates aerodynamic performance while delivering a smooth, efficient ride over dry, fast terrain.
The Dynamic:UHP compound minimizes rolling resistance while the slick center tread flies over firm surfaces. Subtle shoulder textures add just enough grip when you dive into curves or power through gravel drift. The lightweight, supple construction eats up small vibrations for all-day comfort, while M:Wall sidewall protection helps fend off flats from debris or low-pressure riding. Whether you're chasing race goals or fast-paced adventure, this tire keeps the tempo high and the ride buttery smooth.

Very hard to install. And I gave up.
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Found it is extremely hard to install the tire on Zipp 303 XPLR SW wheels. I installed quite a few tires recently on quite a few wheels. And none of them are as hard as this one. Not even close. There are three steps to install a tire: 1. put the wheel in between two tire beads, 2. install first bead, 3. install the second bead. Normally only the last step is challenging. But for this tire which I bought two, I can't complete the step 2 on one, and can't do step 1 on the other after lost 3 fingerprints on my hand. Never see this before. I start to doubt if this tire is truly developed with the wheels as they claimed. I won't say this is purely caused by this tire (the wheel is very wide), but since it only works with 303 XPLR, I had to return it. Schwalbe g one rs fixed my problem.
