Awesome Detroit jacket

Exactly the coat I was looking for. Had my wife wash it 6 times before I wore it. Now it's perfect.

Great looking casual jacket

Very nice light fall jacket and spring jacket. On the lighter side, but the reviews warned me about that. Good looking and versatile.

Pockets - Length - I still enjoy my jacket.

My Re-Engineered Detroit Jacket fits rather well. I was hoping I picked the proper size of XL-TL which I did. For me the arm length is not too short. If I stretch out my arms, the length is a little, but if I don't do that, no one will notice. Arm length is a plus for me. Two inter pockets are nice, but I'd like horizontal pockets more, not a deal breaker. I'm alright with one inter pocket with a zipper, but I'm not a fan of Velcro for the horizontal pocket. Perhaps a snap-on button or two would have been better or nothing at all. I had another jacket in my size (XL-TL) which I like a lot, but it had no stretch to it at all, and I ended up popping open the back part of it. The duck spandex seems to stretch unlike my last unnamed jacket. I was looking for a cooler jacket that didn't make me feel hot, so I'm alright with a lighter lining. I picked the Sand Dune color, and I'm happy with the look. As for the Tall extra length, are the arms longer or like the normal version sizes? As for the length in the "tall" versions are, they an inch or two longer, I just don't know?

Very Happy with this jacket

I just received my Re-Engineered Rugged Flex® Relaxed Fit Duck Detroit Jacket in the sand dune color. I love this jacket. It will be the perfect lightweight jacket for spring summer and fall. I am 6"1 and weigh 215lbs. I have a 46 in. chest. I usually wear a XL and ordered an XL Tall in this jacket because I read it is short. It fits perfect. I can wear a hoodie underneath and just love the fit. The sleeves come down to my knuckles at my side and are at wrists with arms extended. I love the color and the washed duck material is soft and comfortable. The material does have a slight stretch to it and without the shoulder gussets it has the room in the shoulders to be comfortable. I just hope my son doesn't take it from me. I guess I have to get one in black now.

Cowboy headed to college!

This was a high school graduation present, getting my grandson ready for college in North Texas this fall. He was so excited about receiving it.

Very nice option for people who haven't liked the standard Detroit listed on website

Really nice jacket. I have the black. I have a few of the Detroit Models from over the years, my only complaint is I wish they'd included the shoulder gussets but with the spandex incorporated into the duck material I can understand why there was no need for shoulder gussets. Definitely a lighter weight carhartt. This is closer to what we want but not quite there yet.

A Stylish Homage

A good tribute to Detroit Jackets of older times. It's not a J97, and don't expect it to keep you warm in extreme cold, but that's not the point. It's a heritage design with the corduroy color, duck canvas outer, and t shirt like liner on the inside. Outstanding jacket for those sort of cool Spring/Fall days or a nice evening outing. Not necessarily the most functional piece in your Carhartt wardrobe, but it'll be one of your favorites based on the style points alone.

Cool Jacket

I love the jacket. From the look and style. It's big enough to wear a hoodie underneath in colder weather.
